In this essay i will be looking for quotes/deviance for Macbeth’s deteriorating state and hes mental placing in his life. in the first act and first scene Macbeth encounters three sisters who claim to be witches that can see the future say they l shall meet again upon the heath and thinks nothing of it for now. In act one scene two he is a brave and noble warrior who fights in the biggest fight of all time and he savagely kills a soldier unseam’d him from the nave to the chaps and then fixed his head on the battlements. Scotland win the everlasting battle and Macbeth is claimed to be hero by Duncan giving Macbeth a confidence booster. Macbeth once again encounters the three sisters nearby the battlefield as thunder and lighting strikes brightly down as Macbeth and ban quo approach them the witches hail down to the two men and call Macbeth thane of glamis Macbeth is confused to why he is named this as Duncan has never stated this. The three sisters then tell Macbeth that he will be the king of Scotland. Macbeth is stunned and enlightened by the idea of being a king and questions the three sisters for more information on how this is possible they ignore the three sisters. Further through the story Macbeth’s wife starts to hint towards killing king Duncan so that Macbeth will finally become a king and rule the throne. Macbeth feels uncomfortable doing the horrid deed as Macbeth is very close to Duncan and feels like it is wrong to do so. His wife starts to call Macbeth a coward and that he is scared. This eventually manipulates him to go forth with the plan to kill him but Macbeth still feels uncomfortable about doing so. Macbeth and his wife both go to the castle to complete their mission of executing him. Macbeth’s wife first gives the soldiers a glass of drugged wine to make them go to sleep. They enter the kings room to prepare to murder him Macbeth is scared to do it but his wife forces him to kill him Macbeth stabs him multiple times and after he murdered him he heard a knocking from the a door Macbeth thought it was god was coming for him as he committed a sin
